Nestled among trees and the Siltcoos and Woahink lakes is Dunes City in Lane County Oregon  in the heart of Oregon's National Dunes Recreation Area. Just 6 miles south of Florence Oregon, Dunes City offers guests and of course the locals a plethora of fun and sun practically year round.  With only 1,300 permanent residents Dunes City is a quieter town but open to tourists and visitors all season long.

Not only is the atmosphere fantastic but there's fishing, boating, water sports, bird watching and mushroom hunting.  Don't forget the canoeing and kayaking  along the Siltcoos River Canoe Trail.  Just a couple minutes away is the Pacific Ocean beaches along with sand dunes, nature trails, camping areas and prime locations for crabbing and clamming.

The Dunes City  volunteer committee promotes education for its citizens, stewardship of the lakes, responsible planning,  maintaining its  roads and unparalleled scenic beauty. It is clearly a well cared for and community driven area.

Dunes City also has shops, boutiques, restaurants and more but our outdoor activities is what keeps folks coming back year after year.  Five lakes and a deep-water navigable river within 5 miles of Dunes City, make this home to some of the best bass, perch, salmon and trout fishing anywhere in the world.  The Siltcoos River Canoe Trail, the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area and the Siuslaw National Forest Area are favorites among visitors to Dunes City.
